2023 WSOP Reveals a Rich Schedule of Daily Live Satellites
Players visiting Las Vegas for the WSOP 2023 will have a shot to get into big events for cheap thanks to a robust live satellite schedule.
The World Series of Poker (WSOP) is less than 40 days away, and the poker world is excited about the big summer event. While WSOP 2023 is a staple on the live poker circuit, it is no secret that this poker vacation can cost a pretty penny by the time the dust settles in mid-July. However, the recently announced live satellite schedule can help reduce some of those costs.
The biggest live poker party of the year is now less than six weeks away, and the operators are looking to help reduce the price tag for players making the trip. Games cost as much as $250k this year during the Las Vegas poker extravaganza, but with the satellite schedule just announced, players can get into bracelet events for as little as $135.
There are live qualifier games for events ranging from $1000 to the $250k Super High Roller. Depending on the qualifier chosen, prizes will be paid out in event tickets or direct entry/casino chips. The satellite games are running from the first day of the WSOP 2023, with satellites to the Mystery Millions starting May 30.
There is no question that a trip to the WSOP can cost a lot of money in buy-ins, and, poker being poker, those buy-ins only pay off some of the time. The live satellite structure provides a great way to mitigate some of those costs.

Play a $250k for Less Than $3k
Poker satellites are a great way to smooth out the costs of big buy-in events, allowing players to play for big prizes with minimal risk. Poker is as much a game of variance management as it is a game of cards, and satellites are an excellent way of managing the variance side of things.
The full schedule for the 2023 live satellites is below, but there are some highlights that players should be aware of. The satellite games get going right away, with players able to play for seats in the Mystery Millions starting on May 30.
For those who dream of playing in the bloodiest of nosebleed tournaments, there will be a shot at the $250,000 Super High Roller game on June 15 for 1% of the cost. The satellite tree for the super high roller starts at $2750, so players can get into the biggest nosebleed game without getting hurt too badly.
One of the other marquee games every year at WSOP is the Poker Players Championship (PPC). The $50k 8-game mix is considered by many as the pinnacle of poker excellence both because of the wide variety of games a player needs to master, as well as the quality of opponents one might expect to see across the felt.
The past winners’ list reads like a who’s who of poker, starting with the player the trophy was named after, Chip Reese, in 2006. Mixed-game monster Michael Mizrachi has bagged three bracelets from the PPC, while Daniel “Jungleman” Cates has won the last two running. Among the other winners are Brian Rast, with two, and Freddy Deeb and Scotty Nguyen, so the field tends to be one of the strongest in poker.
Players can take a shot at that illustrious field for as little as $625 starting on June 16. The $625 game plays into a $5300 direct qualifier.
