WSOP Toronto Summary & Results

The first-ever WSOP Toronto took place March 22 – April 1, 2024 at Great Canadian Resort. The schedule consisted of eight ring-awarding events, including the C$2,000 Main Event.

By the time it was all said and done, the series saw a total of over 6,000 entries across all events, including 324 players who qualified online via GGPoker and GGPoker Ontario. This resulted in the overall prize pool in excess of C$5.5 million, which blew the original expectation of around $4 million out of the water.

The C$2,000 Main Event ended up attracting 1,600 entries and creating the prize pool of $2.8 million, which also exceeded the expectations. The interest for the tournament was very high so the number of entries would have been even bigger, but the venue’s capacity was limited.

In the end, the title went to Khaled Aljoma, who pocketed $427,191 for his efforts. A grand total of 240 players made money, with everyone taking home at least C$2,948.
