Small stakes poker players in Ontario, Canada have something to look forward to in April as 888poker Ontario brings back the Micro Rollers (MR) ChampionChips for another go-round. Over 9 days of online poker action, players will have a shot at 21 numbered events plus numerous branded side events with almost $100k guaranteed.
Among the events to watch out for are two games with $30k guaranteed each. The first big guarantee, ChampionChips #02 Mystery Bounty Opening Ceremony, kicks off the series on Apr 14 with a buy-in of $109. That is one of four games on an opening day that guarantees close to $35,000.
Overall, there is close to $100,000 in total guarantees with the two big games making up 60% of the total. The other big game, as expected, is the Mystery Bounty Main Event. It looks to have a bit more value than the Opening Ceremony as the buy-in is only $60 for the same $30k guarantee.

ChampionChips Returns to Ontario
With a history going back almost as long as the segregated market in Ontario has existed, the ChampionChip series first rolled out to Ontarians in 2022 with almost $85k guaranteed.
The series returned again in 2023 and is back for 2024 with almost $100k in total guaranteed prizes. Nearly $90k of that is in 21 numbered events while the rest is spread out among the side events that are also running with the festival.
All but five numbered events have guarantees of $1,000 or more and buy-ins across the series range from $5.50 to $109. Most of the cheapest games have a $700 guarantee, but opening day features ChampionChips #03 – Mystery Bounty 5.5 with $1,000 guaranteed for the highest value $5.50 game in the series.
Day 1 flights for the Main Event get going right off the start. Flights to get into Day 2 of the $60 buy-in start on Apr 14 and run daily throughout the series. The final day will take place on Apr 22 and they will be playing for at least $30,000.

ON Plays Alongside Global Series
The Ontario series is part of the larger ChampionChips series running across the 888poker ecosystem. While Ontario online poker players are playing their games, the dot-com market will be competing in a similar, though expanded, schedule with $500k guaranteed across more than 30 numbered events.
That global series has an extra day tacked on at the end to accommodate the larger schedule, with the final table of the global $100k guaranteed Main Event set to stream on 888pokerTV on Apr 23.
888poker LIVE Games on the Horizon
While 888poker is very popular for online series, the 888poker LIVE tour is also among the leading live poker tours right now. There have already been two stops on the main tour after 2024 debuted in Madrid then moved to the 888poker branded room in Bucharest.
