The Main Event of the 55th Annual World Series of Poker promises to be the biggest one yet. The WSOP 2024 Main Event takes place at the Horseshoe and Paris Casino, Las Vegas between July 3 to 17, 2024.
The World Series of Poker and GGPoker have once again teamed up to make playing in the WSOP Main Event a reality. If early indications are anything to go by, the WSOP 2024 Main Event could be the one to finally break the record that has been in place since 2006. If that goal is achieved, the upcoming event will also have the biggest prize pool in history, making it much more attractive to professional players and keen amateurs alike.
However, as appealing as the idea of playing in the WSOP Main Event may be, the admission price of $10,000 is too high for many hopefuls out there. It is not a small amount by any stretch of the imagination, even for some serious professionals.
Luckily, you can qualify for the WSOP 2024 online via the WSOP and GGPoker. Online qualifying paths and promotions are running US markets, Rest of World and Ontario.
This article breaks down all the different ways you can win a seat in what will likely be a truly historic WSOP Main Event.

Those playing online poker for real money in the US can try their hand at winning a WSOP Main Event seat via the WSOP online platform currently available in Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Nevada, and Delaware.
The simplest way to try and qualify is via WSOP Main Event satellites that are on offer for as little as $1.
For players from New Jersey and Nevada there is one satellite each on Saturdays and Sunday, giving away one Main Event seat. For players in Michigan and PA, there’s a single satellite every Sunday, again with a Main Event seat up for grabs.
The NV/NJ satellites each weekend are:
Michigan and Pennsylvania satellites each Sunday:
It is important to note that winners are given $10,000 worth of chips that can be used to buy into any WSOP events, so you do not necessarily have to play the Main if you win — you can also use the chips to enter a few smaller events.
One downside of these satellites is that they only include the buy-in. You will still need to take care of travel and accommodations. It probably will not be too much of a hassle once you know you get to play on the big stage, but it is still something to keep in mind.
Seat Sprints and All-In Satellites ran last year on WSOP.com in mid June, giving players more opportunities for the players to qualify for the Main Event. We expect this to return for 2024.
Last year Seat Sprints awarded a total of 112 seats, with one special satellite every single day, awarding 10 Main Event seats. In addition there was a special 25 Seat Scramble, awarding additional 25 seats for the Main Event — all of which we think will return this year.
Last year the WSOP.com also offered daily All-In Satellites in June and July. These where $80 and $126 satellites with no rake, where all players are forced all-in every hand until a winners are found. Again, we expect the WSOP to run these daily All-In Satellites nearer the time.

Players hailing from the UK, Canada (except Ontario), and many more countries worldwide will have numerous opportunities to win a Main Event seat on GGPoker via their Road to Vegas online qualifying pathway.
Players can enter $1 step-satellites or via freeroll qualifiers in the hopes of winning a WSOP 2024 Main Event package worth $12,000, covering tournament entry, travel, and accommodations.
Players can also qualify for the $1200 final step through the operator’s innovative Express satellites, which are rake-free and offer a swift route to qualifying the target event. These buy-ins typically cost 1/4th or half the buy-in of the event stickers price.
If a GGPoker player qualifies through the Road to Vegas and goes on to win the Main Event, they will receive $1.35 million on top of the first-place prize.
GGPoker will also host freerolls for the qualifiers, providing players with a chance to win a coveted seat at no cost.
Last year, the operator qualified 744 players to play the WSOP 2023 Main Event. This year, they have committed to intensifying their efforts, aiming to send a minimum of 1000 players.

Players in the Canadian province of Ontario will also have a chance of qualifying for WSOP Main Event seats online. Like last year the GGPoker Ontario real money platform* joined the Road to Vegas promotion, giving Ontarians ample opportunities to qualify online for the WSOP Main Event for a fraction of the usual costs.
Just like in the rest-of-world markets, GGPoker will be giving away Main Event packages via online qualifiers such as step-satellites and freerolls starting from $20.
A package to the WSOP 2024 Main Event will include:
Online poker players around the globe have a unique opportunity to win a WSOP Main Event seat from the subscription app ClubGG. This means for players where legal online poker does not exist, entering via ClubGG may be a viable option for you.
Online qualifiers will be running through the weeks between April and June for Standard and Platinum ClubGG Members — winners will walk away with a WSOP Package covering Main Event entry, travel expenses and more.
The ClubGG Road to Vegas 2024 package includes:
Similar to the previous year, any player who qualifies through GGPoker/ClubGG and ends up winning the Main Event will receive an additional prize — a $1,000,000 million bonus on top of the first-place prize.
However, to be eligible for this offer, a qualifying player must prominently display a GGPoker/ClubGG patch. Failure to do so will result in disqualification from tracking progress and potential bonus entitlement, according to the operator’s guidelines.
the chances of a GGPoker or ClubGG qualifier clinching victory in the Main Event are more feasible than you may think. In 2022, GGPoker qualified 129 players through its Road to Vegas campaign and an additional 49 players through ClubGG. Among these qualifiers, Espen Jorstad, one of the 129 players from GGPoker, triumphed over an 8663-strong field to seize the Main Event title and a life-changing $10 million in prize money.
Had GGPoker extended the same bonus offer in 2022, Jorstad would have received an extra $1 million. With the operator’s commitment to sending at least 1000 qualifiers this year, a repeat of the 2022 success story appears entirely plausible.
Yes! Online qualifiers are currently running for a fraction of the $10K buy-in cost on US markets. More online qualification routes are expected to open up in rest-of-world and Ontario markets soon.

GGPoker want to send 1,000 players to the WSOP Main Event via online qualification routes. That combined with live satellites and direct buy-ins generated a prize pool over $93 million — which the WSOP and GGPoker will hope to beat this year.
