Finally, the moment tens of thousands of poker players have been waiting for: the World Series of Poker (WSOP) has released the complete schedule for its 55th edition, set to begin in three months’ time.

WSOP will return to the Las Vegas Strip for the third consecutive year at the Horseshoe and Paris Hotel and Casinos, Las Vegas, Nevada. Action starts on May 28 to July 17. The Main Event kicks off on July 3.
A record-breaking 99 live bracelet events are packed into this unprecedented eight-week period. Among them are many beloved classics and player-favorite formats, complemented by intriguing new additions. Online bracelets will make a comeback, although their complete schedule has yet to be disclosed.

Here’s a brief rundown: there are more live bracelets than ever before, and increased variety with nearly a dozen new events. Among the highlights are the first-ever Double Board Bomb Pot bracelet event, the Independence Day Celebration event, and the introduction of a new Seniors High Roller event. For the very first time, there’s also a Mystery Bounty PLO.
Fan favorites such as the $300 price-point Gladiators of Poker, Badugi, Mystery Millions and the Main Event Maynia qualification system are back by popular demand from last year.
There is also an increase in Day 1 events, more bounty events, and the launch of trending “Landmark Mega Satellites,” offering players the chance to win entry into target events by accumulating a certain amount of chips.

Notable omissions include the Short Deck events, Tournament of Champions, and the Bounty PLO. The $1 million freeroll Tournament of Champions will be held later this year but won’t be integrated into the WSOP 2024 Las Vegas series, pokerfuse can reveal.

GGPoker will continue its role as the official international partner of the WSOP, with a new goal in mind for this year: to send an even greater number of qualifiers. Their aim is to reach 1000 players through online satellites. Similarly, the WSOP itself is striving to qualify more US online players than ever before.
Officials want to replicate the remarkable success of last year, where a record-breaking sum of over $400 million in prize money was awarded. The Main Event set new benchmarks, with participation from over 10,000 players,
In anticipation of this year’s event, officials have expanded the capacity even further. An additional 100 tables have been added — there will now be over 700 poker tables spread across two properties.

WSOP 2024 Opening Freezeout Week
Breaking from tradition, this year’s WSOP schedule will not commence with the usual $500 Casino Employees event. Instead, a new addition takes the spotlight as Event #1: the $5000 Champions Reunion No-Limit Hold’em Freezeout (8-Handed).
This freezeout event welcomes all players but offers an exciting twist: knocking out a former Main Event champion earns players an automatic entry into this year’s Main Event as a bounty prize. Additionally, all living Main Event champions receive a complimentary entry to compete in the event.
On the same day, the traditional Casino Employees event returns as Event #2, open to employees from any casino. With a $500 buy-in, this event spans two days of play.
May 29 marks the debut of another freezeout event: Event #3, the $500 WSOP Kickoff No-Limit Hold’em Freezeout.
One of last year’s biggest hits, the Mystery Millions, kicks off its first flight on May 30th. This Mystery Bounty tournament maintains its $1000 buy-in, offering a top bounty prize of $1 million and a first-place guarantee of $1 million as well. It features four Day 1s and is anticipated to draw in a large crowd once again.
Other events in the opening week include Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better, Dealers Choice, Badugi, and Limit Hold’em, each with a $1500 buy-in.
Other Highlights
The WSOP 2024 series maintains its tradition of offering a wide selection of games, formats, and buy-in options, with bracelet event entry fees ranging from $300 to a hefty $250,000.
Tentpole events remain a highlight, including the $1500 Monster Stack, the Millionaire Maker with its $1500 buy-in, and the Colossus at $400. This year, these popular events will each feature three starting flights instead of two.
Signature WSOP events make a comeback, such as the Seniors, Ladies Championship, Lucky 7s, and an assortment of High Rollers. Additionally, fans can anticipate a $25,000 heads-up event limited to 64 players, a $250,000 Super High Roller event, a Tag Team tournament, and various mixed events like 8-Game, H.O.R.S.E., NLH/PLO, and Dealers Choice.
Championship events return, with a few new additions like Big O, Mid-Stakes, and Eight Game, totaling nearly two dozen prestigious competitions, most with a $10,000 entry fee.
Other new offerings include the $800 Independence Day Celebration, a PokerNews-sponsored $600 Deepstack Championship and a $1000 NLH event during the final flight of the Main Event. Notably, Event #41 introduces the $1500 Mixed NLH/PLO Double Board Bomb Pot, a first in WSOP history.
Exciting events like the Flip & Go Presented by GGPoker, where players go all-in every hand until one remains at each table, return alongside charity events like Salute to Warriors and the Poker Hall of Fame Bounty event.
While most tournaments have no guaranteed prize pools, exceptions include Event #20, the $300 Gladiators of Poker NLH, boasting a $3 million guaranteed prize pool.
Events like the Millionaire Maker and Mystery Millions don’t offer guaranteed prize pools, but they do ensure a first-place prize of $1 million. Similarly, Lucky 7’s guarantees a hefty payout of $777,777 to the winner.
Structures for each event will be available in early March, alongside the Daily Deepstack tournaments with buy-ins from $200 to $400, side events, cash games, and satellites spanning eight weeks. CBS will provide coverage for the fourth consecutive year, and PokerGo will offer daily live-streaming.
The World Championship — aka the 2024 WSOP Main Event
The most popular tournament in the world of poker will begin on July 3, with four starting flights running until July 6. Late registration is available on July 7th and 8th until Level 7 or approximately 4:40 p.m. on Day 2 of each day. Players are expected to reach the money stage near the conclusion of Day 3, set for July 9.

The Main Event plays down to the final 9 players on July 14, with a rest day on July 15th. The final table spans two days, on July 16 and 17, culminating in the crowning of the WSOP 2024 champion on Wednesday, July 17.
Last year’s WSOP Main Event saw a record-breaking 10,043 players vying for glory, generating over $93 million in prize money. Daniel Weinman of the USA claimed the coveted title of poker world champion after navigating through the Main Event’s final table, walking away with a record $12.1 million in winnings.
