Revolution Network Rebuts Lock, Claims it Owes "Large Growing Debt"
Key Takeaways
  • Revolution stated: “Due to lack of payment to the Network and a large growing debt, the Network had no choice but to eventually segregate Lock players almost entirely from Network cash games.”
  • Shane Bridges, spokesperson and Social Media Director of Lock Poker, denied the claim that money was owed from Lock to the network.

In a statement issued regarding the departure of Lock Poker and subsequent claims of network impropriety, IAA Services Limited, owners of the Revolution Gaming Network have fired back with claims of “significant” money owed.

“The Network tried very hard to help Lock work through its problems with slow withdrawals to players, implementing features to help with player segregation and reduce player chip dumping and player losses,” reads a statement issued to pokerfuse late last week.

“Due to lack of payment to the Network and a large growing debt, the Network had no choice but to eventually segregate Lock players almost entirely from Network cash games. The Network issued an official final demand notice to Lock in October and unfortunately must now pursue Lock to the full extent possible by law to recover all monies owed and damages caused.”

Shane Bridges, spokesperson and Social Media Director of Lock Poker, denied the claim that money was owed from Lock to the network: “The Revolution Network CEO has been making untrue and defamatory statements about Lock—specifically alleging that it has failed to make player transfer payments—for some time now.”

“We are confident that ultimately these statements will also be exposed as lies and an attempt to cover up the actions taken by the network operator – specifically the misuse of player funds,” Bridges stated.

Last week, pokerfuse revealed that Lock Poker was moving off Revolution onto its own independent poker platform. This platform is now known to be based on the software used on the Partouche Poker Network. Its primary poker room PartouchePoker.FR has closed but lives on on skin MyPok.FR.

Funds on both Lock Poker and skins on Revolution using the network cashier are heavily delayed, with cashouts times stretching many months, causing concern for all their players.
