Phil Hellmuth First To 100 WSOP Cashes

History was made on Thursday at the 7th Annual World Series of Poker Europe when 13-time WSOP bracelet winner, Phil Hellmuth, scored his 100th cash in a WSOP event. The “Poker Brat” survived the bubble in Event #5, a €2,200 No-Limit Hold’em tournament, to become the first player ever to hit triple digits in cashes.

Hellmuth notched his first World Series of Poker cash back in 1988, 25 years ago, when he finished in 5th place in a $1500 Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo bracelet event. Since that time, Hellmuth has gone on to win over $12m at the WSOP alone and has accumulated a record number 13 WSOP bracelets, making him the most decorated player of the WSOP and one of the most famous poker players on the planet.

Hellmuth’s “White Magic” ran out during Event #5 as he ran his pair of 6s into a pair of 7s and went on to finish in 29th place for €4,206.
