Domestic Bracelet Event Satellites Underway on WSOP.com in Nevada and New Jersey Domestic Bracelet Event Satellites Underway on WSOP.com in Nevada and New Jersey

The World Series of Poker is gearing up for the domestic portion of the Online Bracelet Events in July 2021. First satellites have already taken place on the WSOP.com online poker platform, giving players based in Nevada and New Jersey the chance to win their seats for a fraction of the expense.

Daily qualifiers for $500 and $1,000 Online Bracelet Events are already available and the first satellite for the 2021 $10,000 WSOP Main Event is scheduled to take place on Sunday, June 6.

This time of the year, the live-action of poker’s pinnacle festival would normally already be underway at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. However, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the WSOP decided to push back the series into the fall. To fill the void, the usual summer window is filled with domestic and international Online Bracelet Events.

Both online series will include 33 Bracelet Events and the domestic portion is open to all players located in Nevada and New Jersey. Taking place from July 1 to August 1, 2021, nearly half of the domestic tournaments include price tags of $500 and $1,000. The former buy-in is listed for nine Gold Bracelet Events while the latter features five times throughout the domestic schedule.

And for these events, players can now qualify in satellites for as low as $5 on the WSOP.com client.

Daily $5 and $10 satellites for the $500 take place at 6 pm PST and 3.30 pm PST. The $30 qualifiers towards the $1,000 buy-ins are scheduled for Tuesdays and Saturdays while Sundays feature another two satellites at 3.30 pm PST. This includes another chance to win a seat for the $500 Gold Bracelet Events and a $215 satellite for the 2021 $10,000 WSOP Main Event.

All satellites are seat only and the $10,000 buy-in towards the annual flagship live poker event has to be claimed in chips during the 2021 World Series of Poker at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. The first of four $215 qualifiers in June is slated to take place this upcoming Sunday, June 6 and another three will take place until June 27.

Online Bracelet Event tickets will be added to the winning players’ online accounts. Any unused tickets by the end of the domestic portion on August 1 will be converted to online tournament tickets, which will be valid for one year thereafter.

The first $5 satellites on June 1 attracted 42 and 55 entries respectively while the $30 qualifier drew a field of 28 players. These numbers are expected to increase closer to the start of the domestic series on July 1. All satellites appear shortly prior to the kick-off times in the WSOP.com client.

So far, only players located in Nevada and New Jersey are allowed to participate. In cooperation with 888poker, the WSOP aims to launch their online platform in Pennsylvania and Michigan until summer 2021 as well. However, it seems unlikely that either state will partake in the upcoming Gold Bracelet Events just yet.
