Michigan joins Pennsylvania, New Jersey, & Nevada to get their own bracelet series -- meaning a total of 29 online bracelet events will be running this summer along with 88 live bracelets.

It has been more than a month since WSOP launched in Michigan and one of the biggest questions was — when would Michiganders be able to compete for the World Series of Poker gold bracelets from the comfort of their own homes?

Well, that has officially been answered now as the WSOP officials have revealed the schedule for WSOP MI’s first-ever online bracelet series, pokerfuse can reveal.

Set to run from June 5, just as in other states, a total of eight bracelet events will be on offer for players in the Great Lakes State, running every Sunday until July 17 and one on Saturday, July 16.

Unfortunately, at least for this year, the bracelet events will be exclusive to Michigan players and will not be joined with the New Jersey & Nevada player pool as the state has yet to review and officially join the Multi-State Internet Gaming Agreement (MSIGA).

That day is not too far off, as the state regulatory board — the Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB) — is “confident” it will “sign [MSIGA] expeditiously” once the review is completed by the State Attorney General. It is quite possible that, by the time the next online bracelet event is held, the WSOP MI real money online poker platform should have connected its player pools with WSOP NJ & NV, resulting in much bigger tournament fields across the board.

But before that happens, Michigan online poker players will have the best chance to net a gold bracelet as the fields are expected to be small considering the player pool will be confined to a single state.

WSOP MI First-Ever Online Bracelet Schedule Details

As for the schedule, it replicates exactly what has been on offer for players in Pennsylvania. A total of eight bracelets will take place with buy-ins ranging from $400 to $1000 running every Sunday from June 5 until July 17. One bracelet event runs on Saturday, July 16.

Things kick off with a No-Limit Hold’em BIG 500 which, as the name suggests, comes for a price tag of $500, and players can re-enter up to three times.

This is followed by an NLH Ultra Deepstack with 2x re-entry costing just $400 — the cheapest bracelet event in the schedule taking place on the second Sunday, June 12. Next in the lineup is a Pot-Limit Omaha event for the four-card lovers coming with a price tag of $500 followed by an Online Deepstack Championship carrying a buy-in of $600. On July 3 runs the No-Limit Hold’em Deepstack also with 2x re-entry and a buy-in of $500.

The schedule sees its peak action on July 10 which will play host to the No-Limit Hold’em Online Bracelet Championship (also unofficially the Main Event of the online series). Costing $1000 to enter — the most expensive event on the schedule, players can re-enter up to a maximum of two times. It is expected to draw the biggest turnout and could possibly create a record for the biggest online poker tournament in the state.

The only event that runs on Saturday is NLH Lucky 7’s taking place on July 16 with a buy-in of $777. This is followed by a Summer Saver — the final bracelet event of the schedule on the very next day, July 17.

Each of these events either runs at 5:00 PM ET or 6:30 PM ET. None of them sport guarantees but the allure of the bracelet opportunity is expected to drive hundreds to thousands of players. More details including the dates and times with the full schedule can be found below.

Joe Cada, who has been appointed as an ambassador to WSOP MI is certainly excited about the prospect of winning WSOP hardware from his home state.

“I am excited to be able to eventually win bracelets from my own home,” Cada told pokerfuse in an exclusive interview last month. “Ever since I was a kid, I would always [look] forward to the time I’d be able to play the WSOP. I don’t travel to many poker stops, so being able to win a WSOP bracelet from home will be nice.”

With eight bracelets in Michigan announced, another eight in Pennsylvania, and thirteen for players in New Jersey & Nevada, this takes the total number of online bracelets to 29 in the domestic US online poker market.

The 53rd Annual World Series of Poker is only weeks away from its start and this year a total of 88 live bracelet events will run on the Las Vegas Strip.

Considering that the world is adapting to the new norm and COVID-19 having less of an effect, expect multiple records to be broken across both live and virtual felts.

The online bracelet series kicks off on June 5 and runs through July 17 spanning New Jersey, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Michigan. Three separate series will run with NJ & NV sharing the same player pool and PA & MI series will be restricted to players from their own states only.
