WSOP.com NJ and 888poker.com NJ have announced that as of today the two New Jersey online poker rooms will share player liquidity on a limited basis on the All American Poker Room (AAPN).

Players will benefit from increased prize pools in tournaments and wider game availability in cash games and sit and gos. The online poker rooms will be monitoring the reaction of players both at and away from the virtual felt to determine the effectiveness of the shared games.

“This is an excellent step forward for us and should help in building a larger audience and player base for online poker in New Jersey,” said David Licht, CEO of the All American Poker Network (AAPN), the joint venture between 888 holdings and Avenue Capital. “Shared liquidity will help create a better player experience, we hope will attract a diversity of players and begin to bring poker to a broader audience once again.”

Shared Games

Initially the shared cash games will be limited to No limit Hold’ em tables with stakes up to $0.25/$0.50 and Limit Hold’ em games with stakes up to $0.50/$1.00. Sit and go tournaments with buy-ins up to $5.00 will also be shared across the AAPN.

In addition, the two rooms will begin sharing daily and weekly multi-table tournaments with guaranteed prize pools totaling $130,000. The daily $5,000 Nightly and $10,000 Nightly will begin sharing players today. The $10,000 Sunday and the $25,000 Sunday will be shared across the network each week beginning January 18.

Player Rewards and Benefits

The player rewards schemes at each of the New Jersey online poker rooms will remain separate and intact. Players will earn rewards based on which room they choose to utilize to access the shared cash games and tournaments.

WSOP.com NJ recently announced changes to its player rewards system, Action Club.

Under the new scheme, lower volume players will gain easier access to the benefits the Action Club offers, while higher volume grinders will earn more rakeback on average.
