Following successful events held in London and Amsterdam earlier this year, PokerStars recently announced four more “VIP Club Live” events in 2013, with the next stop on July 13 in Vancouver. This will be followed with events in Berlin in August, São Paolo in October, and back in London in November.
New live events are parties held by PokerStars, and all players are invited to attend. There is an FPP cost to enter depending on a player’s VIP status level; the higher the level, the cheaper a ticket. Supernova Elite players go free. Tickets are purchased exclusively through the VIP store.
The event offers opportunities for players to enjoy free cocktails and some canapés, meet other players and chat with senior PokerStars staff; for those in the industry, the location choices can be seen as important indicators of where the online poker giant’s marketing efforts are focused.
