6,710 players have been eliminated and now just 27 players remain as the final day of play arrives to decide who will become part of the November Nine.

Currently the pack is being led by Vojtech Ruzicka from the Czech Republic who has 26,415,000 in chips and no gold bracelets to his name. Michael Ruane from Maywood NJ, is sitting in second place with 24,565,000.

Online poker hero Cliff Josephy is sitting in third place, followed by James Obst from Australia in fourth—who has already cashed in seven events this Series, coming runner up in the $10,000 HORSE event. So there is everything still to play for.

Event #69: $1000 +111 Little One for One Drop No-Limit Hold’em

Swedish poker pro, Michael Tureniec beat 4,359 other entrants to win Event #69 for his first ever WSOP gold bracelet and $525,520 in prize money.

“It’s overwhelming to win” Tureniec said in his winner’s interview. “It’s the biggest thing you can accomplish in poker.”

Calvin Anderson finished the event in second place—making it his third final table of this Series and his 8th overall. He walked away with $324,597 in prize money for his performance. Anderson is no stranger to making a final table as won his first WSOP title back in 2014 in the $1,500 buy-in Seven Card Stud High Low Split event.

On being able to close out the tournament for the victory, Tureniec said: “I started to pick up some big hands when we got short handed. It helped me a lot to get some chips when we were down to 3 or 4 players, and then when I was heads up against him, I had a chance. Calvin was a tough player, so getting some chips to play with was very important by the time I got to heads up.”

Third place went to Ryan D’Angelo—making it his third final table appearance at this year’s Series—having previously won a gold bracelet in the $1,500 buy-in Deuce to Seven tournament earlier this summer. His third place finish earned him $239,232.

Jason Mercier ended up cashing (putting him in the poll position for Player of the Year), but it meant his hopes for another gold bracelet were dashed.
