Borgata Casino Expands Online Offerings With Live Dealer Games Borgata Casino Expands Online Offerings With Live Dealer Games

The live dealer online gaming experience is being expanded to the Borgata Casino brand in New Jersey. It was announced that the three online casinos currently operating under the GVC Holdings umbrella, which include BorgataCasino.com, PartyCasino, and playMGM, have entered the live dealer arena by launching this week.

Those who have played over on the Golden Nugget NJ online casino will already be familiar with the trend. Live dealers provide an online gaming environment that attempts to give the player at home the look, feel, and sounds of placing wagers in person as if at the casino itself. There is an on-camera dealer/croupier who performs all the tasks in-person that players are used to seeing — shuffling, dealing, taking, and paying bets. It’s interactive — players at home can communicate with the table in real time providing an additional social element that some may find lacking in a purely graphical environment.

There will four games offered initially:

  • American Blackjack (21)
  • American Roulette
  • Dragon Bonus Baccarat
  • Casino Hold’em (the table game)

All four games will be available from 2pm – 3am ET Monday through Wednesday and then expanded hours from 12pm (noon) – 3am ET Thursday through Sunday. Players have the option of playing from home or on-the-go as all of the live dealer streams are also available on tablets and smart phones on both Android and iOS devices.

The barrier for the Borgata to get into live dealer games was reduced a bit through a deal with the Golden Nugget themselves. The Golden Nugget, who is the current leader in live dealer games in New Jersey, is reportedly renting out a portion of its studio to allow Borgata and GVC Holdings to also provide their variety of games.

The Golden Nugget has had plenty of opportunity to not just refine the live dealer experience but reap the rewards from being the largest operator of the games for roughly two years. Back in 2016 the Golden Nugget launched the first live dealer games in the New Jersey market. Earlier in 2018, they were also the first to expand their game selection with the addition of Casino Hold’em, a table game that Borgata will also be piggybacking on.

For some players, part of the enjoyment of gaming comes from the look and feel of being table side in their game of their choice. More than the money, the experience of seeing all the action occur in real-time helps put them in the experience they want the most. For others, the live dealer simply feels more secure. Even though the online sites in New Jersey are highly regulated, there may be some small selection of people who still fear that cards distributed by computers rather than a human dealer may not be as random as an actual shuffle. When a player can see the shuffle, watch the deal and act accordingly knowing there’s a staff on the other end, it may make them feel more at ease.

While the Borgata’s live dealer games are not yet being widely advertised, they are up and running for current account holding players to partake in.
