This year’s SCOOP is expected to go down as the richest online poker championship in history. In 2013 PokerStars paid out $75, 585,435.05 in prize money. This year, three additional tournaments have been added to the schedule.

SCOOP is structured to provide an opportunity for all players to participate regardless of the size of their bankroll. Each of the 45 events has three buy-in levels (Low, Medium and High). Buy-ins for the tournaments range from $5.50 to $21,000. Players can also satellite their way into these tournaments as well for as little as $1.

The series runs from May 4-18 with a wide variety of formats to choose from including rebuys, knockouts, big ante, Zoom and short handed tournaments. Several different game variants will be spread as well such as Badugi, 5-Card Omaha Hi/Lo, Single Draw 2-7, 5-Card Draw and more.

The Main Events—there is one for each buyin—are scheduled to start on the last day, and guarantee $1m, $2m and $3m at the various buy-in levels.

Players will also compete for prizes on the Player of the Year Leader Boards, which will be split into Low, Medium, High and Overall categories.

The PokerStars blog will provide in-depth coverage of every final table and PokerStars.tv will also be providing coverage with tournament reports and video replays.

As usual, each winner of a SCOOP tournament will receive a Movado watch to commemorate the win.
