PokerStars is celebrating its 20th birthday with a massive The Big 20 promotion, now in full swing on the platform. Big 20 Rewind tournaments launched on Sunday and are running throughout the month and into December.
The Big 20 promotion will give away millions of dollars in tickets, giveaways and guarantees, with boosted daily leaderboards, tickets given away via Ticket Machine, Big 20 Rewind tournaments and side events, and of course the Finale on December 5.
The first Rewind event brought together over 12,000 entries who battled it out for a prize pool that ended up shattering the $100,000 guarantee with just an $11 buy-in.
A brand new addition is new $0.50 Spin & Go tournaments that PokerStars added to the schedule. these offer a chance to win $5,000 in cash or a $55 The Big 20 Finale ticket.

New $0.50 Spin & Gos Introduced
Spin & Go tournaments are fast-structure, winner-takes-all tournaments vs two other random entrants. The prize all players are vying for is randomized at the start of the game. Normally this varies between two and thousands of times the buy-in.
PokerStars launched a brand new Spin & Go type in their lobby on November 14 exclusively to cater to The Big 20. As part of the promotion, The prizes for this are tickets to various The Big 20 tournaments, with a mix of $1.10, $2.20 and $5.50 tickets.
One time in a thousand, the prize will be a ticket to the Finale, a very ambitious $55 buy-in tournament with a mammoth $5 million guarantee. The top prize is $5000 in cash.

What Else Is Up for Grabs in the Big 20 Celebrations?
Big 20 is extensive—it covers a wide variety of rewards and promotions up over the next few weeks.
The headlining part is the special Big 20 Rewind tournaments that celebrate the various events in PokerStars history, with one event for each of the 20 years the operator has been around.
The Rewind kicked off on Sunday with The Big 20 Rewind – 2001 – Year of the PokerStars. The $11 event drew in 12,037 players and shattered the $100k guaranteed prize pool, setting a good tone for the rest of the promotion.
Over the next three weeks, PokerStars will be celebrating their history with a variety of Rewind tournaments, including:
- 2003 – Year of Moneymaker: $86 – $125k Guaranteed Freezeout
- 2006 – Year of the Sunday Million: $215 – $1 Million Guaranteed Freezeout
- 2011 – Year of Home Games: $11 – $100k Guaranteed Charity with Special Guests
- 2013 – Year of the PKO: $22 – $225 Progressive KO
- 2017 – Year of Twitch: $11 – $100 Progressive KO
On top of these, players will also have an opportunity to win boosted prizes through the Daily Leaderboards in both NLH and PLO cash games, as well as regular Spin & Go tournaments.
All players are also given an opportunity to win their share of $300,000 worth of tickets for the various The Big 20 tournaments, including The Big 20 Finale through The Ticket Machine promo, which can be entered by completing simple daily missions like playing 300 cash game hands, ten Spin & Gos or three MTTs.
The Big 20 Finale will take place on December 5, and tickets are also available through freeroll tournaments and a massive array of buyin qualifiers that will be taking place all the way up to the tournament. Between now and then, daily qualifiers for other The Big 20 Rewind tournaments will also be rolling non-stop.
