In partnership with the World Series of Poker (WSOP) brand, the GGPoker/WSOP Ontario app is running the prestigious WSOP Summer Circuit series exclusively for players in Ontario. The series began on July 2 and will continue throughout July.

This marks the operator’s second Circuit series of the year and the fourth since its launch in September of the previous year.

Following the WSOP Circuit series tradition, the summer edition features 18 gold ring events and numerous side events, with a total of CAD $3 million in guaranteed prize money.

The extensive lineup of tournaments is highlighted by the $525 buy-in Main Event, guaranteeing an impressive CAD $250,000 in prize money — meaning the tournament will need to attract 500 entrants to avoid the overlay.

Buy-ins for the entire series range from CAD $25 to CAD $1,500, with the 18-ring events starting at CAD $50 and reaching a maximum of CAD $1,500.

Winners of the WSOP Summer Circuit Series not only receive the prestigious gold ring but also earn additional rewards, including an invitation to the WSOP 2024 Tournament of Champions, a $1500 entry to the next WSOP online bracelet series on GGPoker.ca, access to the Platinum lounge during WSOP 2023 and WSOP 2024, and a special GGPoker.ca Badge.

The entry to the WSOP online bracelet event basically confirms that the marquee WSOP online bracelet series will run not only on GGPoker’s global platform but also on GGPoker Ontario.

While details regarding the upcoming WSOP online bracelet series are currently scarce, historical patterns suggest that the series will likely take place from August to September.

Furthermore, winners of the ring events also have the opportunity to become members of the GGTeam Champion.

The WSOP Summer Circuit Series on GGPoker Ontario is the fourth of its kind. The operator hosted the Ontario Online Circuit Series immediately after going live in the province in October with an advertised guarantee of CAD $2.5 million.

During the holiday season, the operator launched the WSOP Winter Circuit Series with double-sized $5 million guaranteed series. It followed it up with the Spring Circuit series in March, this time guaranteeing $3 million in combined prize money.
