BetMGM Running End Boss Series Across All Three US States

BetMGM has announced the launch of a brand-new poker promotion, The End Boss November Online Series.

The online festival runs from November 23rd through 28th and features seven tournaments in each of three states, culminating in a $1060 Main Event, which carries a six-figure guarantee. In total there will be over $750,000 in prize money combined course of the three schedules.

The End Boss in question is Brand Ambassador Darren Elias, who helped create the series, which will run in all three partypoker network markets: Pennsylvania, Michigan, and New Jersey.

Luke Staudenmaier, BetMGM’s Director of Poker, is enthusiastic about the new promo: “We’re thrilled to introduce The End Boss Poker Series to our players,” he said. “During the development process, we worked closely with Darren, a poker legend, to ensure that the series was accessible to those celebrating the holiday weekend and created with the entire partypoker US Network in mind, from our recreational players to our most competitive players.”

Seven Events for PA, MI, and NJ

Each state’s Main Event winner will be crowned as the “End Boss” for their jurisdiction. On top of their prize money, they will also receive a seat in a special New Year Knockout PKO event. Elias himself will playing in the NJ version of this tournament, and whoever takes him out of that competition, will win a two night stay at the Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa.

The schedule is the same for each of the three jurisdictions, though guarantees differ from state to state. The full run-down of events is as follows:

BetMGM has been running similar series on an almost monthly basis now, for some time. However, this is the first set of events to feature the End Boss format, and the first major series to feature Darren Elias as Brand Ambassador since the partypoker network appointed him to the role in September.

Elias is a veteran pro, with a record four WPT titles under his belt. He has had several in-the-money finishes at the ongoing WSOP, including 12th in the High Roller NLH for $51,866.

Guarantees Up Compared to Recent Series

The End Boss online festival is slightly smaller than the 10-event series that the operator has generally been running this year. However, average guarantees are definitely at the higher end. By way of comparison, the September installment of BetMGM PA’s online series had an average guarantee of just $21,000. This time round the equivalent figure is just shy of $33,000 – over 50% higher.

For those with smaller bankrolls, there will be a selection of satellites and qualifiers into the End Boss Poker Series. Buy-in start from as little as $5. As a nice little bonus, BetMGM is inviting anyone that takes part in the series to play in a December freeroll to win seats for the New Year PKO special.

As ever, players must be located within the state in question to be eligible to play. The series is available through all partypoker Network skins—BetMGM, Borgata, and partypoker—though not all brands are active in all states.
