LGA "Addressing Everleaf Non-Compliance," But US Players Still Cannot Withdraw

The Lotteries and Gaming Authority of Malta published a short statement on Friday stating that the regulator had worked with its licensee Everleaf Gaming, who is addressing “non-compliances” in its operation.

The statement comes exactly three weeks after the LGA announced it had imposed sanctions following an investigation which “emerged with a number of irregularities in their operation.”

Despite these concerns being supposedly addressed, no practical withdrawal options have been presented to US players, who have had their funds inaccessible ever since the network ceased servicing the United States nearly two months ago.

The terse statement reads: “... Everleaf Gaming Limited has closely collaborated with the LGA and is addressing the identified non-compliances, where the LGA is closely following Everleaf’s operation in order to ensure continued adherence to the Laws of Malta.”

The only options offered to US players to withdraw their funds are via Neteller (an e-wallet that does not service the US), Moneybookers (an e-wallet that does not provide service for gambling related transactions to US customers) and wire transfer to a non-US bank in the name of the US player.

Though some players have found it financially advantageous to establish residency outside the US, it is not a viable option for most players awaiting their funds.

In February, Everleaf banned players from the US following the closure of a payment processor and seizure of over $27k by US authorities.
