David Kitai Takes Event #19, Bests Stacked Final Table

Professional poker player David Kitai added to his accolades when he won his 2nd WSOP bracelet, and over $224,000, by besting the 195 player field of Event #19, $5000 Pot-Limit Hold’em.

Tearing through a stacked final table that included big name pros Eugene Katchalov, Bertrand “Elky” Grospellier and “Super” Dario Minieri, Kitai finished off his heads-up opponent, Cary Katz, when his pocket Jacks out-flopped Katz’s pocket Kings in one of the quickest final tables of the 2013 Series.

Belgium’s Kitai is already a part of an elite club of players to have earned poker’s “triple crown” having won a WSOP bracelet as well as a WPT and EPT title.

This marks Kitai’s 2nd cash of the 2013 Series, having made it to the round of 16 in the 10k Heads-Up Championship.
