Replay Poker Completes Full Roll Out of its New HTML5 Platform Replay Poker Completes Full Roll Out of its New HTML5 Platform

Popular free-to-play online poker room, Replay Poker has completed the roll out of its new HTML5 platform across all its games.

The new web-based HTML5 client replaces the previously used Adobe flash player, making it mobile friendly and giving players a smoother experience overall.

The HTML5 codebase comprises various technologies used to build rich web applications. It gives the game designers far more flexibility and allows for rich development that can go beyond the web.

As a result, more and more app designers and operators are switching to the HTML5 platform, as it allows for faster implementation of new game features.

Replay Poker has been beta testing the HTML5 platform since November last year. Initially, the new HTML5 supported ring games only, but after various improvements, it now supports all the game formats that are offered in the site.

Besides improvements in navigation, game speed, security, usability, graphics and sounds, the new HTML5 client improves the poker tables with a much better looking layout, and the various new features give the platform a more modern look and feel.

A Look Back at the Origins of Replay Poker

Replay Poker has been around for over 15 years after having been founded in Sweden in 2005. It is one of the leading play-money poker rooms, giving players an experience similar to that of real money sites. The site offers various features including the ability to see hand histories, customize the look of the table, and chat with other players. There are also options to display badges and achievements as well as an option to “find a friend.”

The site has been tested and certified by an independent testing laboratory called Gaming Associates, ensuring that their poker software’s shuffling algorithm is 100% fair and random.

As it is a play-money room, Replay Poker allows players all over the world including the US to play at its tables. The site claims to have over 150,000 registered players, with a majority of them based in the US. In addition, over 60 million hands have been dealt since its launch in 2005.

The site is entirely browser-based, meaning users can play without having to download any software. It also supports most mobile devices, including Android and iOS.

Even though Replay Poker is a play money poker room, its game offerings are very similar to many of the real money poker sites. The site offers the standard trifecta of cash games, Sit & Gos (SNGs) and multi-table tournaments (MTTs). Games are spread at Hold’em, Omaha and Omaha Hi-Lo tables.

In addition, the site also supports a novelty game format called Royal Hold’em, a game that plays like normal Texas Hold’em except that it uses a deck with all cards lower than the Tens removed.

Like many other real money poker rooms responding to an increase in home games, Replay Poker also recently added the option to create private tables, allowing players to play with their friends and family.

Currently, the private table option is limited to cash game tables for both NL Hold’em and Omaha and stakes starting at 1/2.
