World Series of Poker officials have announced a preliminary 22-venue schedule for the WSOPC’s upcoming 2013-14 season, including the WSOPC’s Ohio debut and two separate Circuit stops in Canada.

The WSOP Circuit will add two new Ohio series to the schedule, beginning with a trip to Horseshoe Cincinnati, September 19 – 30, 2013. The WSOPC also visits Horseshoe Cleveland, March 20-31, 2014.

The 2013-14 WSOPC slate doubles visits to Canada with the addition of a series at Montreal’s Casino Montreal, November 14-25, 2013. That follows the WSOPC’s return to Vancouver’s River Rock schedule, the next edition of which will run October 28 – November 8, 2013.

The WSOPC will also return to its most popular regional venues, including Foxwoods, Caesars Palace, Hammond Horseshoe (outside Chicago), LA’s Bicycle Casino, and Harrah’s Atlantic City. The 2013-14 series, as with previous years, will culminate with a National Championship. That will be held at Caesars Atlantic City in late May of 2014, with the exact dates yet to be announced.

WSOPC officials have also announced that the “12 Rings in 12 Days” scheduling concept returns, with most stops including 12 “ring” events and concluding with a $1,675-buy-in main event. WSOPC Main Event winners, winners of each stop’s overall results, and the top 100 players nationwide will all qualify for the 2014 Atlantic City National Championship.

The WSOPC continues its nearly decade-long emergence as one of poker’s most successful mid-level tours. Roughly 80,000 player participated in 2012-13 WSOPC “ring” events, and the average winner’s prize for WSOPC main events was just under $200,000.
